The Requirement
GridDuck create IoT devices to be used around the house. GridDuck is a low-cost energy management system utilising wireless hardware, an online dashboard and an API. We offer consumption monitoring and analysis, remote control and automation. They use IoT technology to offer a wireless cloud-based alternative to Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS). GridDuck knew that the types of devices they are producing needed the best security. As it is cloud based technology they needed to ensure that they wouldn’t be targeted by a cyber criminal.
