DigitalXRAID Leads the Way in Environmental Sustainability with Remarkable Carbon Footprint Reduction

DigitalXRAID, an award-winning managed security service provider, has announced a significant milestone in its sustainability journey. By reducing its total carbon footprint by an impressive 17.4% over the last year, DigitalXRAID has not only set a new benchmark for environmental responsibility within the cybersecurity industry but also demonstrated its commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2038. 

This achievement comes as a result of DigitalXRAID’s collaboration with Positive Planet on its Carbon Reduction Plan, aimed at aligning with the latest science-based targets (SBTs). These targets are designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions substantially to limit global temperature increases to 1.5°C compared to pre-industrial temperatures, a critical goal for combating climate change. 

In general, service-based businesses aim to reduce their carbon footprint by approximately 3.5% year on year, and companies with a larger supply chain aim for an 8% reduction each year, so DigitalXRAID has achieved well above average with the 17.4% overall carbon footprint reduction. 

DigitalXRAID was previously certified as a Carbon Neutral company in 2022, being one of the first in the industry to address environmental issues. However, the company wanted to ensure it was having a positive environmental impact, rather than simply offsetting current emissions.  

DigitalXRAID’s efforts have focused on addressing the wider Scope 3 emissions, which include all indirect greenhouse gas emissions occurring within the company’s value chain. A significant initiative undertaken in 2023 was the strategic review and electrification of company vehicles, demonstrating DigitalXRAID’s proactive approach to reducing its environmental impact across all aspects of its operations. 

Emissions have been meticulously reported and recorded in accordance with the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard, using the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting. This transparent and rigorous approach underscores DigitalXRAID’s dedication to not only leading the way in cybersecurity solutions but also in corporate sustainability.
