DigitalXRAID, an award winning managed security service provider, has today announced that its Lead Security Analyst and SOC Manager, Alan Freeland, has been elected to the CREST Security Operations Centre (SOC) Focus Group by a majority vote by peers within the member companies accredited to the SOC discipline, following a formal appointment process.
CREST is an international not-for-profit accreditation and certification body that represents and supports the technical information security market. The CREST Security Operations Centre Focus Group sub-committee is both reactive and proactive. The Focus Group considers items passed to them by the CREST internal management team, Regional Councils, and members accredited to the SOC discipline, in order to make recommendations to be considered by CREST Management. Members of the CREST Security Operations Centre Focus Group sub-committee actively participate by contributing ideas and suggestions around technological developments, review accreditation processes, consider research proposals, support government initiatives and drive the industry forward.
