DigitalXRAID recently attended CYBERUK 17 hosted at the ACC in Liverpool. NCSC, GCHQ and other industry partners including BAE Systems compiled numerous difficult, yet entertaining technical trials to form the CyberUK games.
CyberUK games were being hosted during the conference where attendees attempted a wide range of attacks, ranging from difficult technical tasks through to social engineering. Some challenges were possible with a smartphone, others required specialist equipment and tools.
“The difficulty of the challenges will vary from reasonably straightforward through to fiendish. If you’re desperate, we might be persuaded to offer the odd hint here or there. But the battle for bragging rights is a serious one in cyber security circles. You don’t need to bring anything other than your most nefarious mindset.” Harry W, NCSC
